Could my 3 month old be teething?

My son is 15 weeks old, usually after we do the whole bath/bedtime routine he goes straight to sleep and is asleep for around 5 hours then wakes for feeds over night and goes back to sleep, over the last few days he has been more unsettled and crying but nothing too bad, he has also been drooling ALOT!

Last night he had a bath and I put him down in his crib, he woke around an hour later so I changed his nappy and fed him, he just wouldn't settle, then out of no where he just started crying/screaming, he had his hands in his mouth biting down, he was inconsolable. I tried everything to settle him, he looked as though he was in real pain, it was awful to watch. I popped him over my shoulder and he began switching between crying and chewing on my shirt. This went on for about 2.5 hours then I think he tired himself out. When he came off my shoulder my shirt was soaking wet with dribble, I can't believe so much saliva came out of such a tiny baby!

This morning we have had lots of crying that seems to come from no where, hands are constantly in his mouth and he is dribbling buckets!

He is napping now so DP is going to go to the pharmacy and get some of those teething granuals before work, as the dentenox gel isn't doing much.

So sorry for the long story my questions are:
Is 15 weeks too young for teething?
If it is teething then is it going to be longer before his teeth actually appear, because he is so young?
Any suggestions for helping relieve the pain, teething granules, do they work?
I'm not too keen on gels because I'm not 100% sure im putting it in the right place, as I'm just guessing where the pain is, IYSWIM?
I just don't want him to be in pain anymore Sad

sounds like he is teething? is his wee face red? My dd has been teething since 3 months, nearly 5 months now and no teeth, so not sure that earlier teething necessarily means earlier teeth I'm afraid. Apprently it's hereditary, so if you got teeth early he is likely to. Not sure if you know/can find out when you got your teeth!

Ashtons palmers teething powders working ok for us and gels. I'm just rubbing it along along her gums - can you feel the little hard bits under his gums where the teeth are?

Yeah his face gets red and he's really grabbing at his cheeks/ears, I've just got the Ashton's powders and it has just stopped him mid-cry but I think that was the shock, at least he hasn't cried since!

I think I can actually feel two teeth at the bottom, but all of his gums look a little inflamed, your poor DD I hope she gets some relief soon!
