Possible to be immune to chickenpox as a baby?

My DS is almost two. Over the last 6 weeks he has been exposed to two different children during the "infectious" stage of chicken pox (right before the spots appear) - he even slept in one of their beds with them!

And yet... no spots for DS! Is it possible that he could be immune?

It's possible.

Mind you, DS1 (who was formula fed from 10days) was exposed 6 times before he finally caught it at 3 and a half.

I'm not sure but I know Ds was repeatedly exposed and on one occasion shared drinks and food, held hands, cuddled etc with a kid that came out in them that night and he didn't get them. Nor did dd who was under 1 at the time. (Ds was 3)

However, he did catch it when he was 4 even though nobody at all we knew had them. He passed them on to his sister but didn't pass them on to any of the kids in his class or who he had been to soft play with the day of the spots coming out.
