Ds has 4 or 5 itchy spots, driving him crazy. We have no pets, and no-one else in the family has them.

If they are flea bites, where are they from? If they aren't fleabites, what are they??

Has he had chickenpox?

hazeyjane · 24/02/2015 18:32

He has had the vaccine, as he has underlying health conditions.

That hadn't crossed my mind at all! He could have a very mild case, as that can still happen despite the vaccine, he has had a sore throat as well.

He won't let me near the spots, so as soon as he is asleep I will have a look to see if they are poxy.

bed bugs? does he have any new furniture?

dementedpixie · 24/02/2015 18:35

Where are the spots? flea bites tend to be on the ankles

hazeyjane · 24/02/2015 18:44

No new furniture, and matress is a hospital provided one, not fabric, I can't imagine bed bugs would find it a great place to live! He sleeps n our bed a lot and dh and I haven't been bitten.

There is one on his leg, one on his chest and 3 on his back. I didn't see them this morning.

if they turn into blisters then they could well be chicken pox.

hazeyjane · 24/02/2015 21:54

Have had a look with a torch. They do look a bit poxy, I guess I'll know for sure tomorrow.

Thankyou

My dd was getting spots that looked like bites on and off for a couple if months, I was sure they were bites and was worrying about fleas, bed bugs etc. ended up taking her to go who said they were viral spots and could come and go for a few months. She hasent had any for 3 weeks so hoping that's the end of them. They were red and then for a yellow head on them and itched her a lot. It's awful thinking they might be flea bites x

Took her to gp not go lol
