Am current sat in a and e with my 5 day old. This morning there was small amounts of blood in her vomit all obs seem fine but blood tests have shown that she has low salt levels more tests are being run not sure what I'm writing this for. Never expected to be in a hospital situation so soon :(

Glad you've been allowed out! Hope you're all snuggled up at home

Such a relief to know whatever it is it wasn't serious enough they wanted to keep her in any longer

Oh brilliant. Glad you are home!

It's good that your DD seems happy in herself, at least you know she isn't uncomfortable - whatever it is. Flowers

That was the frustrating things out all of this, from the outside she appears perfectly happy and healthy doing all the things you would exec a newborn to do

Glad to hear you are home Smile

We had a similar situation w ds2 at 6 weeks old (went in to a&e about 1 thing, then they discovered 2 more 'problems'). 3 days later he was under 4 different consultants and we spent the next 6 months having various parts of him tested for a whole range of things.

He was, and remained, totally healthy throughout. None of their concerns ever amounted to anything significant in the end.

So whilst it is of course good that they check out your dd thoroughly, my advice is don't worry until they tell you that they have found something wrong, rather than different, or unusual.

Thank you, it's just so worrying, she looks so small and the thought of there being something wrong is heartbreaking she looks absolutely perfect

How is she doing?

StillinShockAhhhhhhh · 27/02/2015 08:20

She's absolute fine in herself still which is reassuring, should hopefully get the results from her blood tests today so should know more then
