Perennial Rhinitis 13 year old, any tips with how to manage this??

Hi,
My son has severe rhinitis, pretty much all year round. This effects his sleep and he constantly blows his nose. How can we manage this? nose sprays did not help that much.

antihistamines could help. My dh takes a daily antihistamine (loratidine) plus nasal spray due to perennial rhinitis. He gets them on prescription.

I have perennial allergic rhinitis and take a daily antihistamine. I take it at bedtime as that was when I was having most issues. It works for me.

I was also given a nasal spray, but since starting the loratadine, I don't need it.

I have this too and take certirizine daily. I have a nasal spray when it's very bad. I've been tested for the general causes of allergic rhinitis but nothing was detected.

dd -lots of allergies all year round uses mometasone nasal spray.
all on prescription.

Avamys spray has been great for me but I have taken it daily throughout the hayfever season. I also take it a few days in advance of visiting anyone with pets year round. Same with my antihistamines (I like loratidine) - I think the effect is cumulative. We've also replaced our pillows with artificial fibre ones and put the feather duvet in an allergy proof cover. We've tried to improve ventilation in the house as I'm also allergic to damp so humidity makes me sneeze. There is then a weird phenomenon to do with water. I often have a really sneezy day when it rains. Debilitating but gone the next day. Can't prevent that. Weirdly also dehydration seems to make me sneezy, so perhaps ensure he is really hydrated.
