...a lovely topic. When kids eat something which disagrees with them and has one soft poo as a result (i.e. not completely watery), is this 'diahhorea' that the school would want an exemption period for? I have always erred on the side of caution, but thinking maybe I am too cautious, as it is food disagreeing with them, not a bug... What do people do?

I thought it was 3 lots of runny poo which constitutes diarrhoea. My DS is lactose intolerant so can be a bit 'loose' - I'd be pissed off if they sent him home every time he'd had custard for lunch Grin

Diahhrea is watery loose stool.
Not soft, watery.

Oh, sounds like I have been a bit overly cautious...!! Jesus no wonder I always run out of holidays every year! Thanks for your responses :)
