Small red spots on cheeks - Non-specific viral?

Dd is just turning 3. For the past 3 or 4 days she's had 3 or 4 itchy spots on her cheeks which seem to come and go a bit. The skin feels slightly rough. The spots are just red pin pricks and don't have any pus or blisters. She hasn't developed them anywhere else so far.

She has had cold like symptoms for several weeks and has been a bit off her food.

Sorry this is so boring but does anyone have any ideas on how I should treat this? She has had the CP vaccine and lack of spots anywhere else makes me think it's not that. I don't think it's parvovirus either because they're individual spots rather than a red face. I wonder if it's eczema as I suffer from it but she doesn't have it anywhere like elbow creases, backs of knees.

Is it possible just to get spots when they're run down? Any ideas for how to treat them?

Hello all, I'm bumping my earlier message as the spots have flared up again after a few days off. Now a few have also come up round her mouth. It seems to get worse after food or when she's hot. Any ideas anyone?

it's so hard to comment without seeing them. Do the individual spots come and go? Could it be hives? Does she spots on her fingers or in her mouth? Might be worth asking the chemist to take a look?

Thank you for responding. Yes I know it's impossible really! The spots do come and go and are small and red, slightly raised, no pus and seem to be slightly itchy.
There are no spots anywhere else and she's had this on and off for about 10 days.

might be hives - if it's around her mouth, might be something she's eating?

I would check, though. Chemist or gp.

Yes it seems to be worse after food. It doesn't have the white patch in the middle that hives have - they are just small red spots with no head. I have done some research and I can't see anything that it resembles...

Just wondered if you got any answer to this.. My dd, also three, has had something similar for several weeks, on & off, along with vague cough & runny nose. I took her to the Gp when it first happened & she just said 'they get these with viruses.. ' But shouldn't it have gone by now?
