Can anyone recommend an app we can download to help my 12yo fall asleep?

She reads and is clearly tired but struggles to switch off. Usually takes between 1-2 hours to drop off. If there is an app, I'd be interested.

Tia.

Audible audio book?

I was going to suggest an audio book.

White noise, but on a CD player. Blue light from phones/tablets/laptops keeps your brain alert and stops you falling asleep.

We have storm sim, it's great. It has a timer, and you can customise the storms.

We've always done audiobooks bit she now stays awake listening for the end of the story - no matter how often she's hears or before!

Problem with an app is that the light from the screen tells your brain it's daytime (so switches of melatonin production, so harder to fall asleep)...

R4's Weekly Political Review podcast works for me every time Grin

What time is she going to bed?

I would we tempted to try and solve the sleep issue by swimming or running in the evenings and hour later bedtime. No TV or screen time after 6pm
