I'm not sure. How short? Have you googled? Take him to your GP if you're worried. I'm not sure what can/would be done? I know puberty has a big effect. Sorry not much help x

Thank you. but i also want to know if i want GP to refer me to someone who will help, what do i have to ask for?
hopefully the puberty will change it.

as he shocked me when he asked me while i was giving them bath:
mum why my penis is smaller than my brother will i am bigger than him?
i never thought he will notice or think about it at this age. he even doesn't know the proper name for it, he was just pointing. i just notice that i have to do something about it.

Does it function normally can he wee ok? Is everything else normal Size? No swelling that could be giving the appearance of it being smaller than it is.

I think. If your worried then you should take to gp see what they say and go from. There.

happywithit · 20/10/2014 23:18

everything is normal, and is functioning normally, no swelling at all.

Some penis's are smaller that's life, I'd say that to him in a child friendly way ofc

sleepingdragon · 20/10/2014 23:23

There are a few conditions, that can be treated. Including micropenis, that is treated using testosterone injections I understand. I think the best place to start it your GP, and to insist on a referral if you're worried- I think its to endocrinology to check hormones levels.

I have girls so in no way much use with boys. But kids grow at different rates so this may well not be any indication of anything. But you obviously have concerns and there's a reason we have instincts with regards to our children so I'd trust in yourself and see the Dr.

happywithit · 20/10/2014 23:26

thank you so much, i will do so. i will contact my GP first thing tomorrow morning.

i did explain to him in easy way that they are different from one to an other and that the size has nothing to do with the age, i also advice him to use the private toilet (the one that he can lock the door after him) at the school not the one in frontof his friend to avoid any comment from the children you will never know but did not mention the cause just say that you will never show your private part to no one.
try to use the toilet in private.

I wouldnt have drawn attention to it by saying use a toilet with a lock, hes 5 they grow at different rates, are all diferent sizes. I have 4 boys none of them have been the same. If you are worried take him to the gp.

happywithit · 20/10/2014 23:53

i will contact GP but i did not mentioned the real cause of using the private toilet to him ofcorse, i did ask him this in different time, i just mention it to you to know how much i am worried and try not to show nothing to him.
until now he doesnt know nothing about it or that i am concerned at all. i do not tell him nothing about it or talk about it to him.
