Dental advice

My DD recently complained of toothache. I made an appointment with our dentist and then had a look at the sore tooth (not expecting to be able to see anything really). What I did find was both her adult premolars are erupting through the gum above and infront of her baby molars which aren't at all loose. On both sides! No wonder it's sore - she has four teeth in space made for two! Just wondered if anyone has had the same and what their dentist did about it.
Thanks!

My friend has a DD who has a similar thing and sought dental advice. DD (11 years old) has bleeding and soreness. She has been advised to keep her mouth super clean and let the baby teeth naturally loosen - which they are starting to - in pieces. The option of removal was discussed and she was told that if they are artificially removed it may affect the eventual position of the adult teeth (as in they may twist). Its not ideal that this happens and can be painful. Should it get abnormally painful or there are recurrent infections etc. I would approach dentist again. Is your DD attending dentist at regular intervals for monitoring? Hope this helps.

Thanks! We saw our dentist today who gave us the options. Either waiting 4-6 weeks for the baby teeth to fall out or, as she is in a lot of pain opt to have the baby teeth taken out. I left it up to her to decide - so she had the three teeth out and although it's a little sore now she should be fine in time for her brother's birthday party at the weekend!
