After effects of GA in 16mo

DD has her appointment through for sorting out her blocked tear duct, and it is the day before we go on holiday. Does anyone have any advice as to whether that'll be a problem or not?

We are holidaying in the UK, it is a 3 hour drive to where we plan to have lunch then another 2/3 hours. We have a self catering cottage so no pressure to go out for meals if she isn't 100%.

Would you take the appointment or delay it?? Tia.

When DS had GA's at that age he was a bit sleepy the following day so quite useful for a long drive. Make sure you keep up pain relief if advised to and not wait until it is obvious it hurts.
I wouldn't go abroad straight after but in the UK you should be fine, make sure you plan a quiet couple of days as you will be tired too.

Thanks, we might be okay then. I have emailed the secretary to ask if there is any increased risk of infection, we want to go on beaches etc so would be a bit of a nightmare if sand got somewhere it shouldn't!

dd had one at 20 months. She wasn't sleepy the next day, in fact 2 hours after all she wanted to do was run around and they couldn't discharge her fast enough.

So it'll be fine imo as long as there are no after effects from the op.
