Beginners guide to chicken pox?

Is there one on here already or could anyone do me a quick one or advise ad to whether my DDs might have it?

DD1 has a couple of spots that look like whiteheads on her bottom and a bit of a rash between. DD2 has a few spots on her forehead that look a bit like whiteheads but less white. DD1 has had a temp on an off for the past couple of days. Suddenly convinced myself it is chicken pox

What do you think?

Questions:
If it is chicken pox how soon before more spots might appear?
Do I have to tell toddler groups etc that we've been to this week?
Should I apply camomile straight off or wait to see if DDs start itching?
Anything else I need to do.

Thanks

Chickenpox is a blistering rash - starts out as small red bumps that get a watery head and then scab and turn purple after it's bursts and where the water ha run develop more little blisters. Usually follows a fever with site throat headache etc. highly contagious for all especially under one year, over 65, ill people and pregnant ladies especially dangerous. So yes all the groups would need to be told IF it's suspected. I'm not sure your kids have it - have you heckled google images? Also google 'chickenpox patient UK' for a lovely little article with pix. If it is, quarantine until 5 days after the last new blister.
