Help! DD has had redness on her chin for ages, which cream?

My 2 yo daughter has had redness/rash on her chin for a while now and I have tried sudocreme and antihistamine creams and while they reduce the redness they aren't clearing it up. I don't want to go to the doctors with something so small. Can anyone recommend something?

My DS has autism and constantly walks around with his tongue out when he's concentrating. It makes his chin very chapped. One day I put metanium (the yellow nappy rash cream) on it over night and it disappeared

I would go to the gp as it could be something that needs an antibacterial or hydrocortisone cream prescribed

I just googled the symptoms and am wondering is it her toothpaste that is causing it? It's not eczema and she doesn't lick her lips. I live in Ireland so have to pay €40 for a Dr visit although if it continues for much longer I may just go in to get it sorted :-(

How do you know it isn't eczema? That's a prime spot for it. Mega grease and hydrocortisine works on my son. The grease we use is Dermol from the pharmacist, cheap as chips.

Ds had eczema. Hydrocortisone cream didn't work. I used baby oil, putting it on him after he got out of the bath and gently patting him dry, this worked (very odd but may be worth a try).

She hasn't had any other signs of it being eczema so I'm hoping that isn't it. Will call into our local Phamacist, he's very good and see what he thinks. It's not bothering her at all, in fact she loves getting cream on it lol It's bothering me more

My dd had a red, irritated chin at about that age. Even now, she only ever gets eczema - tiny patches - on her face.

We use Epaderm, basically grease - twice a day. It sorts it. You could try the waitrose baby bottom butter if you want something a bit more natural.

my ds had a red chin for a few weeks and nothing would shift it, eventually I took him to see the gp and he needed antibiotics and steroid cream. I felt Sad
it took two lots of antibiotics for it to start looking better and were still having to use the steroid cream 4 weeks later.

It's worth making an appointment just in case
