High thyroid test in 2 month old

Hi all Smile

DD had some blood tests at 11 weeks old as she had dropped from the 50th centile to the 2nd centile in 8 weeks and wasn't keen on drinking milk. Since then they've switched her to nutramigen AA as a trial and she's doing a lot better. The only thing they want to retest is something to do with her thyroid - apparently it's usual for new babies to have a high thyroid level which starts to level out, but this was a bit higher than acceptable. They're retesting her in a month but I'm not quite sure what a high thyroid test means? I was feeling so frazzled after our trip to hospital that I just wanted to go home, sleep and google it the following day, but google hasn't been overly helpful!

Thanks for any help you can offer Thanks

Not sure how relevant but ... my dd had raised thyroid levels last year. She was seen in thyroid clinic and retested. Her levels were only marginally high this time. We were discharged with no need for further testing. The specialist told us children's thyroid levels aren't the same as adults. Adults levels stay firm whereas children's levels fluctuate .. during growth spurts and when they're fighting infection. It's only a problem if the levels go above a certain number. The heel prick test babies have at only days old checks for thyroid problems.
Hope you get better help and advice soon.
