chicken pox vaccination for ds?

Am concerned about the risk to my DS from chicken pox and would appreciate any thoughts/advice.

DS (age 4) has a lump/lesion on his brain which was discovered when he had meningitis as a baby. It doesn't cause him any issues on a day to day basis. However when he had a virus at 11 months it caused him to have febrile convulsions. He has had viruses since then but with no convulsions but we are still vary wary when he gets a temp. He has an MRI once a year as a check up and the doctors are not concerned about him or the lump/lesion.

However I am concerned about him getting chicken pox because of the potential (albeit low) risk of him developing a brain infection/inflammation. Not sure if he is at greater risk of this happening because of his lump but am worried about the greater risk to him if he got a serious bout of chicken pox.

I know he could get another virus or illness that could result in a brain infection and I can't prevent that happening but on the other hand chicken pox is fairly prevalent in terms of a contagious illness.

Therefore am thinking of contacting his consultant to see if it might be worth him having the chicken pox vaccination? Am I worrying too much or does this sound sensible?

Definitely check it out.
Being vaccinated against chickenpox may give you one less thing to worry about.
