If you're unhappy represent at A&E.

TaurielTest · 04/05/2014 22:41

Have you tried the glass test?
A rash that doesn't blanch needs immediate attention. Trust your instincts.

AnyaKnowIt · 04/05/2014 22:42

It's not spread any where it's only on both cheeks and forehead

If you take her to a&e and its mothing serious the worse that can happen is a late night. If you dont and it is something serious you are wasting valuable time. If you are not happy insist on blood tests

Rash under a glass ?

OP posts:
AnyaKnowIt · 04/05/2014 23:21

Can you see the rash under the glass?
I would still go to a and e to be honest

VodkaKnockers · 05/05/2014 00:12

I would go to a&e.

Ds1 has had a few unexplained rashes and I have always taken him to tbe children's a&e.

Last time we were there we were taken straight away and he was seen by the consultant on shift. Turned out to be nothing again but the consultant said that she would rather see 100 children with a simple rash caused by a virus than 1 with something more serious and if I was ever in doubt to bring him down.

Rashes, especially ones that don't disappear with the glass test, need to be investigated.

VodkaKnockers · 05/05/2014 00:14

With a child under 1, I would bypass ooh and go to a&e

candycoatedwaterdrops · 05/05/2014 09:21

Always A&E for a rash and a virus in a young baby. It's better safe than sorry. Flowers

Coulsonlives · 06/05/2014 18:20

How did you get on?

Bmcc82 · 06/05/2014 20:32
