Any knowledge/experience on infantile haemangioma or strawberry marks?

Not really health I know but just trying to get some response as posted in another section too. So it's a small one of about 0.5cm each way on face. Child is 6 months almost, wondering when it might disappear, if any mums out there have any experience?
I'm not bothered obviously just curious of others experience, kinda makes baby look even more uniquely lovely!

DD1 had a tiny one (smaller than your DC) on her eyelid which disappeared completely before 2. DD2 has a 2/3cm one on her forearm very bright red and raised at birth. She is 4 now and you can see a shadow there but not obvious. I think it is getting fainter every year.

I remember having a minuscule one under my eye as a child may be till 9/10. I can't even tell which eye and can't even see a trace of it now.

My dd had one in the middle of her forehead and one on her chest. she is now 6, the one on her chest has completely disappeared and the one on her forehead is now a skin coloured very slightly raised area. You would never know she had one there

Around 6 for my dd too, I can still see where it was but I don't think it is really noticeable to anyone else!

Dd has one on her chest. It is very much smaller and faded now at three. It was about really dark for at least a year but I think it will go completely now.

DD had a haemangioma with a strawberry mark about the size of a £1 coin on the side of her head which had completely disappeared on it's own by the time she was 3.

DS1 wasn't born with his, but a red mark above his right eyebrow appeared when he was about 3 weeks old and the haemangioma just kept growing until it was about the size of a golf ball, with a bright red and purple strawberry mark on top, aged just about 14 months old. He saw a consultant who put him on a course of propranolol as it was starting to encroach into his eye socket, and it took the colour out of it and reduced a lot of the size. He was on this for about a year. He is 4 now and it hardly noticeable, only very slightly raised and a small spot. If you, or anyone else, is ever concerned pm me and I can show you pics of what it was like before and what it is like now.

My younger sister had a 3cm diameter dark red big puffy one on her forehead when she was born. I dont know how long it took to fade. She is 15 now and you would never know she ever had one.

my daughter was born with a flat mark on her filtrum which soon grew to be a strawberry mark that went from under her nose, onto her lip and inside and back up iyswim. It broke open and got infected and she had to have two operations to remove it and still has a scar instead of a filtrum.
lots and lots of people commented and most mentioned their own experiences of haemangioma in which they usually just faded right off by themselves.

My 5 month old has one on her torso, only small although it is getting bigger slowly. Doctor told me it would go in a fee years.

DD had one the top of her head when she was born. It was tiny but got bigger and quite raised until it was the size of a pound coin. She is now 19 months and it has reduced dramatically. It has halved in size and no longer raised. GP said it should disappear completely by 7\8 years old.

Both mine have them. DS has one on his chest which is much smaller and paler now at 3 years 3 months. So hopefully it's on its way out.
DD (7 months) has 4, 3 are very small and one is about 50p sized near her belly button. Not yet shrunk or faded and it's a pain during nappy changes although I'm much better at not accidentally scratching it now....

ds has one, he is rising 3, and its lighter and less raised. we were told when he was a baby that initially it would grow with him then begin to lessen and fade. its my understanding that they are only problems if they are near eyes or in a position to get knocked and bleed and get infected.
there are mess that can be prescribed to reduce thenm but you then need to monitor blood pressure, so i thought best to leave alone if possible.

My daughter had one above the eyebrow, not big, but noticeable, but was gone by the time she was 18-20 months.
