But am not sure what is wrong with her, it started Friday, she had a bit of a temperature, she fetched her blanket and pillow, lay on the sofa. I gave her some calpol for the temp, she fell asleep. Once she'd had a little sleep she was as perky as ever (think the calpol helped) then in the evening it happened again, and she was complaining of a tummy ache.

She had more calpol before bed, seemed fine saturday morning, but developed a temperature again, which I again gave calpol for, once again this kicked in and she perked up, playing etc. All fine. She had complained of a tummy ache again though.

Today, she has not got a temp as far as I can tell. She was up at 6am, but seems more tired than usual.

Anyone shed any light? I am planning to take her to GP if she is like this still tommorow morning.

37 is normal. 38 is a fever.

Bunbaker · 28/04/2014 21:08

38 degrees is not normal. It is 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

I would def check for a UTI

My 2.6 yo dd had one and I couldn't put my finger on what was up with her, but knew she wasn't 'right'

Hope she feels better soon x

We've just had this. 3 year old and 7 month old. It's a viral thing. Temp in morning and evening, fine in between!

I'd always have a recurrent temperature checked professionally.

38 is a low grade fever it still sounds very possible that its a virus but its worth getting her urine dip tested to be on the safe side.

MostlyMama · 29/04/2014 07:07

She's cheerful this morning again. Still, going to take her temp, and take her to the docs to be on the safe side.

It's 37.8, and she's lying down again. Have given calpol, will call GP as soon as they open.

How is your DD today?

MostlyMama · 01/05/2014 20:40

Aw thanks for asking, she seems much better yeah. We saw the doc on Tues, he checked her over, said probably a virus. He did say if she was still poorly in 48hrs time to bring her back with a urine sample, but she does seem fine now x

Just checking in to see how she was too x

She had chicken pox a few weeks back eh ? The effects of it hang around for a while after the the physical signs have gone. Sounds viral and 5 mins at a GP would ease your mind.

thegambler · 04/05/2014 00:30

The perils of not reading every word, please ignore the GP bit in my previous post.

How do you edit posts on this here thang ?

MostlyMama · 04/05/2014 07:37

She is back to her bright and cheery self. Thanks for the concern :)
