14mo DD right foot turns in

Hello
My dd has been walking confidently for a few months, I noticed a while back that her right foot turns in. I didn't think much of it as she was still a bit wobbly but my mum also picked up on it yesterday

Is this something to worry about or will it just correct itself with time?

Hi,

If it was both it would seem like a simple case of pigeon toe, but as it's just the one..
Have you tested how flexible her foot is compared to the other one, her tendons aren't tight or anything?

I don't think you can know fir sure until you see a dr. Dd has this, she's very clumsy but that might just be my genes :I

Anyway we were referred to physio who assessed her and it's nothing. So don't worry about it but do her it checked out. Chances are it will improve over time and not cause her any issues :)

I've had a look at her feet after her bath, when I rotate her right foot it clicks, it doesn't make a clicking sound but you can feel it clicking iykwim?

I have this with DD who is two. First went to GP who said she would grow out of it, then returned 6 month later when it wasn't better.

We've been referred
to musculoskeletal clinic, who have assessed her. Said she doesn't have any physical problems and it's likely just a bad habit. She's had x rays done and everything is fine.

At the moment we are making sure she only wears supportive boots and doing foot exercises with her twice a day.
Having a progress appointment soon.

So no advice but it is reasonably common and can be nothing, just a strange way of walking

Hey Lolli. DS2's left foot turns out quite significantly when he walks. I will watch with interest whether your GP thinks its anything to worry about.
