Poxclin, Virasoothe, Thuja ointment, pure aloe vera gel, calendula cream, Eurax and Aveeno stuff all very soothing for chicken pox.

Benadryl/piriton/medised are good for reducing itching.

Also oats in an old pair of tights or tied in a muslin, two large handfuls of bicarbonate of soda swirled around and a few drops of eucalyptus essential oil, tea tree essential oil, peppermint essential oil and lavendar essential oil in a luke warm bath twice a day. Chamomile tea bags in the bath are good too.

Mine came out in spots yesterday. Can't use virasoothe as he's allergic to some of the ingredients. So far has had 2 baths in oatmeal and tee tree and good old calamine lotion. Seems to be doing the trick as he's not that itchy at the moment anyway!
Can I add bicarbonate in to the oatmeal baths?

any tips for spots under boobs ? Grin me not the kids lol

I have been told that bicarbonate should not be used for chickenpox as it dries the spots quickly which makes them itch more, you should stick to things that moisturise which allows the spots to heal with less irritation.

My big tip is keep the skin as cool as possible. The warmer the skin, the more spots which is why nappy areas, skin folds, etc are often most badly affected
