How to care for your child when ill

How do you entertain your child when they are ill?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

My little one has been ill past few days but she was happy just laying in bed the whole time watching her fav Disney cartoons. She is 3 and a half so not sure how old your child is. Generally she likes to play with her toys a lot e.g her tea party set, dolls house etc (role play type things) which of course can get tiring for me :)

Oh I did take her out for more walks the past 2 days to get more fresh air into her although I did have to carry her most of the time. Plus point for us has been the nice weather.

Depends on the illness, If it's something like an upset tummy or chicken pox where they are generally fine and happy then I fill the day with arts and crafts and games.

If they feel sick, then they are happy to just lay on the sofa watching TV.

Depends what with?

How old?

Fluids, rest and easy things like dvds, books, logo etc

Watching this thread, my 16 month old is going into leg casts on Wednesday to correct muscle tightness and I'm dreading it.

If they're properly ill they'll be too busy sleeping/pooing/vomiting/vegging in front of tv to need entertaining.

If you're stuck in the Child-fine-but-school-says-48hrs-after-vom-before-return period, enjoy the quality time just the two of you and go out somewhere!
Sympathies on the leg casts Bedsheets!Sad
