Apologies if this is a stupid question, but this is all new to me.
My 10mo dd has been happy and well all day. At around 5.30 she started some quite distressed crying so I assumed she was tired. Put her in her pjs, gave her her bedtime bottle. As I sat her up to burp her, she did an ALMIGHTY burp, then projectile vomited everything she'd eaten today. As soon as it had all come up, she seemed to relax and wanted to go to sleep. I'm checking on her every 20 mins but she hasn't vomited again and is fast asleep. Because she's been fine all day and seems fine now, and because of the giant burp that preceded the vomit, I'm inclined to think it was a case of bad trapped wind.
She's supposed to be at nursery tomorrow. Their policy states no attendance for 48 hours after d&v. What I'm not clear on is whether a one-off vomit with no sign of diarrhea would count as d&v. Obviously I'd phone to ask them, but they're closed now and dh has to set off with her in the morning before they open.
So I just wondered what other mnetters would do in this position? Obviously, if she vomits again in the night I will keep her at home.
