Question about ibuprofen or paracetamol for 12 yo

DD is 12 and weighs 5 st 12 lb. How many tablets could she take? I have one packet that says over 12 and another that says 12 and up. Is weight more important than age? I've tried googling but lots of different advice.

what strength are the tablets?

this is what nice says

ibuprofen=Age 12 years to 16 years: 200 mg to 400 mg three to four times a day (200mg is one normal adult dose tablet)

paracetamol=Age 10 years to 16 years: 500 mg every 4–6 hours (maximum of four doses in 24 hours) (500mg=1tablet)

www.evidence.nhs.uk/formulary/bnf/current/10-musculoskeletal-and-joint-diseases/101-drugs-used-in-rheumatic-diseases-and-gout/1011-non-steroidal-anti-inflammatory-drugs/ibuprofen - says for CHILD 10–12 years, 300 mg 3 times daily (up to 30 mg/kg daily (max. 2.4 g) in 3–4 divided doses)

Thanks - that NICE link has it all on. The ibuprofen is 200mg and the paracetamol is 500mg.

I was just a bit unsure because when she was poorly last year the doctor weighed her to decide how much ibuprofen she could have. She hasn't really gained any weight since then but has turned 12, which according to those guidelines means she can have twice as much.

She's half the weight of some of her classmates so going on birthday seems a bit wrong to me. And I can't give her 300 mg because I've only got 200mg tablets in the house.

I'll stick to one tablet at a time for now as it seems to be bringing her temperature down a bit.
