All three of my dcs have just had chickenpox. Dd came down with it the day before NYE, her brothers followed suit two weeks later. All three have had it quite badly, with spots appearing for well over 7 days and some have taken a long time to dry up and crust/scab.
Ds2 came down with it Friday before last - just one spot that day, but was absolutely covered by Saturday evening.
On Sunday just gone he still had in excess of 10 blisters that were large, yellow and not showing any sign of drying up, but as of this evening these have all scabbed - bar one.
The remaining blister is on his finger. He insists it appeared early on and says he remembers when it came up, because it was particularly painful (it's pretty big and on the side of his index finger). It doesn't look infected or inflamed at all, but has apparently been there for several days. Will it just scab on it's own eventually?
He's now fine in himself and so bored of being at home, but obviously I can't send him back until every blister has scabbed over.
His elder brother got his first spot the day after him (Saturday before last) and is going back to school tomorrow, which is making him even more frustrated.
