Sorry for the moan but any reassurance or advice is welcomed

My dd is not quite one and is now on her 4th episode of croup she's also had bronchiolitis and pneumonia me and ds2 r asthmatic so even tho it's a worry anyway it's really concerning me now. Should mention ds2 didn't present this way he had cough& wheeze from about 9 months treated just before he turned 2 and diagnosed due to huge improvement not long after.

I have ocd and all my keeping safe behaviours r all for the dc so appreciate I may b letting my anxiety get the better of me a little.

Gp tried to have a look in dds throat this morning but she wasn't having any of it and cos she's small gp didn't want to force it. Her chest sounded nice and clear tho which is a big plus. I find dd is often quite wheezy between bouts of illness but never audible when I get her to the surgery. I know y the Drs don't want to label her or treat for asthma as over the next 12 months she could well out grow this wheezy/prone to croup & chest infections thing she has going on atm but it's breaking my heart listening to her coughing all night so frequently. I don't find the steam that helpful for the croup but helps with the chest infections. Iv found the cold air more effective for the croup trouble is my husband works shifts and I have another 2 so can't always go out with her late at night when she's having a coughing fit is there anything else I can do for her? Would calprofen be better than calpol as might reduce a bit of the inflammation? We r bf and blw but due to all the illness she doesn't eat much at all in the way of solids she's on a multi vit & mineral is there anything else I should b offering her that might help?

If u have any advice or reassurance I'd b really grateful Tia x

Should also mention gp has it on her file to watch for asthma as apparently when they're this small their tubes r still v narrow so asthma often presents as croup and I know chest infections in the first year is a marker for it also (I kept getting bronchiolitis as a baby) sorry to b a bore just explaining my asthma worry as I know croup is in the larynx and not the lungs. Shes coughed her self awake from her nap has stridor I will take her out once the boys wake up but if anyone else has any tips I'll try almost anything hate watching my girl like this :(
