My 3.5 DD has been potty trained since 3, all fine, no major issues there but in the last two months, she has begun to wee only once or twice a day. She only drinks water or milk ( I'm fairly strict on juice and squash) but she knocks back the water quite happily.

Any one have any tips on how to get her to wee more/drink more and should I be worried? No other symptoms so didn't think worth bothering doctors with.
It makes me very anxious as I don't think it is right not to wee much!

Might be worth doing a fluid balance record for a week and get a true picture of intake and output. I was told by a urology nurse when my daughter was having kidney problems that they should be similar allowing a small discrepancy for sweating etc. Will be useful too if you do decide to take her to the GP.

Thanks 5. How do I do a fluid balance record? I mean, I can measure how much I give her but do I have to catch and measure her wee?!! Mind boggles as to whether we will be able to leave the house...

Yeah, would probably mean taking a potty and a measuring jug everywhere. Not really convenient but is probably the only way to get a true picture. Is there a practice nurse at your doctors or a health visitor you could speak to for advice. They may have a better way.

Thanks 5 for the responses, I've made an app with the doctor for tomorrow, I suppose it's better to get it checked out in case it's an underlying issue. I appreciate your help
