My DD is 3 1/2 years old and she could eat for britain. Its starting to stress me out as the doctor made a comment and quite a few people have called her "solid, pudgy, big girl" already.

She is about 70% for height and 99% weight. She is in clothing for 5-6 year old and even those can be tight around her tummy/thighs.

The good news is she is not picky. Will eat just about anything. I thought this was a good thing, but it has turned into her just stuffing her face all day long. As soon as she finishes a meal, she starts "Mummy I want something else, I am am hungry"

I try to give her healthy things….but I am struggling to cope with the constant begging for food. How do you change the attitude of a 3 year old? what do I do?

I haven't no. I think I am going to go back to doctors and speak to them again. Not sure what they'll say as I'm under a consultant and dietician but I don't seem to be getting anywhere.

I personally would ask gp for blood test for anything like diabetes, thyroid (ask the gp he knows) and possibly a stiil test (worms).

She's had so many blood tests and the only thing that come up was borderline for thyroid. So she'll have another. She's been tested for diabetes, coeliac and other allergies. She's had a stool sample and awaiting the results. She's got a stomach X-ray booked in but waiting for date to come through. I just feel like it's been going on for so long and all they say is try this try that. I remove so much from her diet yet she still has really sloppy poo and so much of it, really bloated to the point she would wear a top in the morning that fits properly and by the afternoon I have to take it off of her because it's too tight, 2 days later it will fit properly again.
I just do not know what to do next. She's under a dietician and a consultant but honestly I feel like I'm getting nowhere and she is suffering. She constantly tells me her belly is hurting, her farts stink, her poos are massive and her belly swells so big that it feels like it is going to pop. X

Kandrews88, I am very late to the thread and I haven't got any wisdom to add, but wonder how you have been getting on? My daughter is 7 and is overweight and always, always asking for food and saying she's hungry. She can eat all of her friends under the table. It's a constant battle to try to stop her weight from getting really out of hand - if she was in control of what she eats she'd be massive by now. She too has permanently sloppy poo. She's never had a solid one in her life and her childminders used to complain about her horrendous nappies. No allergy / intolerance testing has been done so far but today we are going for a blood test to screen for various things including food intolerances, coeliac disease and thyroid function. I am completely convinced there is something going on. It's not emotional eating and it's not about portion control. She's got something going on in there.
