7 year old with Night Terrors, driving us crazy!

Please can somebody help. Our 7 year old daughter has had persistent Night terrors for some years. We are talking about every night, sometimes up to 4 time a night. Admittedly we are in unstable accommodation and waiting to be rehoused but the terrors have been going on for so long. The wife and I are constantly awoken by screaming and crying from our daughter throughout the night. Its now starting to effect the sleep of her younger 2 year old sibling.
My 7 year old has always been full of energy during the day and can sometimes only explain her behaviour as like someone on amphetamines. She has recently been diagnosed with sleep apnoea and wonder if this may have an effect?
The wife is pregnant with the third and as you can imagine our nighttime routine is pretty eventful. Our last visit to the doctor just resulted in a leaflet but I'm determined to get her to the docs again. Can anyone help with any input on the situation? Its very intense and not just the odd terror here and there, please help! [UPSET]

The way to stop night terrors is to reset the sleep cycle.
About an hour after she has gone to sleep, go and wake her up. Get her up and properly awake for a 5-10 minutes before putting her back to bed.
That is generally enough to reset the cycle and prevent more terrors.

If she doesn't last an hour, wake her before she normally wakes.
I know it sounds overly simplistic, but it does work.

I sympathise, it is very traumatic to see your child go through this. Is she on any ongoing medication at all? My child had this as a result of an inhaler. It was shocking to see him shaking in fear from his night terrors. We changed the medication and it stopped.

Thought it worth mentioning in case!
