Conjunctivitis - can I give DS2s chloramphenicol to DS1....

...now that he's also come home with conjunctivitis? Dr gave DS2 the prescription this am (when DS1 didn't show signs), now they're closed until Monday.

Obvs separate towels etc until plague has passed...

That's what I thought. As long as there's no cross contamination, surely it's what he'd be given if he went to Drs.

Can you not just get a new bottle from the pharmacy? Our local pharmacy does things like this so you don't have to go to the GP.

yes actually i was just about to say, i think optrex infected eyes is the same thing, and you can buy it otc

I meant, our pharmacy does a service where you can see a pharmacist for things such as conjunctivitis, diarrhoea, vomiting etc and they give you the medication so you don't clog up the GP unnecessarily. They even give out paracetamol and Ibuprofen for free, it's very good.
