Over the last couple of weeks ds says that when he has urinated, he usually feels he needs to go again a few minutes later, and then he can't stop a little dribble coming out. It's not a huge amount, but it's enough to cause a small wet patch on his boxer shorts. There are no other symptoms, no tummy ache or pain urinating or anything like that.

I took him to the GP with a urine sample, but there was no sign of infection so we have been referred to a urologist at the hospital. We have to wait three weeks for the appointment.

I'm bricking it that there's something really wrong. Ds is coping ok so far, but I'm worried its going to get worse and become really embarrassing for him.

Does anyone have any experience of what it could be or what will happen during and after the hospital appointment? Or any tips on how I could help him deal with it?

Thank you for reading

That must be worrying, I'm sorry you're going through this. I really do hope it turns out to be something simple and easy to sort.

I'm sorry I don't have any tips or advice, but hopefully someone else will come along soon.

Fingers crossed for you.

I used to get lots of urine infections around that age. They never showed up in urine tests but when I was referred, they were sure that's what it was. Hope it goes well.

Mother - that's very kind of you, thank you Smile

Candy, your experience is interesting, thank you. I'm still praying that it will be that simple for ds. Did they treat you and was it successful?

Woo I was offered low dose antibiotics for 3 months or so but actually, I outgrew it. Fingers crossed that it's something that simple for your DS. Flowers
