I know that sounds ridiculous...
DD is 8mo, my second child - I also have a 2yr old DS.
DS has always been sickly and bug-prone. He also has severe glue ear so has been plagued by ear infections.
I have always been able to tell he is sickening/poorly a mile off as he changes so much.
Anyway, DD at 10 weeks was admitted for bronchiolitis, for 4 days. Had NG tube, O2 therapy etc. But I'd only taken her to the GP as DS was poorly (he got admitted too, it was a fun week
) and the GP asked if he could listen to her chest. She seemed fine to me and I thought she just had a cold/cough.
Well, today she woke up with blood discharging from her ear. GP assumes drum rupture secondary to ear infection (can't see properly as ear canal full of blood/debris) But I honestly had not a clue she was poorly! She's been a tiny bit grumpy but otherwise fine IMO.
I know this founds daft but I'm starting to worry I might miss something now! I'm a bloody HCP too!
