Anything that works with a 5 year old with these.

If it is the same time every night partially waking him/her before they happen (eg lifting to the loo or just getting them to take some sips of water) may break the cycle for you all.

Remember it is terrifying and heartbreaking for you but your DD/DS does not remember them

I really feel for you. I did and still do suffer. Are they at a similar time each night, could gently stirring her before them help, as they occur at a certain point in sleep IRC.

Many thanks. We will try with waking him up and resettling to see if this helps. They are usually at the same time so anything is worth a try, its good to know they are not remembered. I've read children outgrow them by age 8 so only 3 more years to go Sad
