Very stupid chicken pox question

Ds2 has chicken pox, he seems fine thankfully (he's only 19weeks poor thing). Obviously he's infectious so I guess I just need to stay at home (and wait for ds1 to get it as well....)

I'm not sure what your question is?!
He will be infectious until all scabbed over which will probably take a week or so. The incubation period is long, up to 21 days, so depending whether DS1 catches it from whoever DS2 caught it from, or from DS2, you are not out of the woods for another 3 weeks at least. DS1 (assuming he gets it) is infectious for several days before his spots show and if you are like me you will have forgotten about it and have no idea why he is being so grumpy and horrible until the pots show and you remember.
It's rotten, I'm sorry.

You and ds1 can still go out, if you have someone to look after ds2

Sorry not v clear! I mean do u need to stay in as much as possible and avoid going out to save infecting others.

Ds2 caught it from my shingles so I guess it depends on if ds1 will also catch it from me, or catch it from ds2.

I would keep contact with people minimal. Easier if you are rural not so if in the city.

Thanks Fruss, that's what I thought.
