12 week old DS vomiting

After an unsettled night last night DS has been a little off colour today - and them has vomited twice since 5pm.
This is DC2 so I can remember PFB first tummy bug and I just cuddled and BFd through it. I can't remember how old she was but not this little.

So before I get to night time where I start worrying about everything - can you share any advice on what I should do - should I wake him to feed if he sleeps a long time - he seems tired but this may well just be from the unsettled night. He is feeding less but I don't think he is dehydrated seems alert and nappies normal ( quite a lot of poo but nothing dramatic) no temperature or rash..

Hopefully it's nothing to worry about.

I think offer more feeds if you can stop baby getting dehydrated. What your doing sounds right hope little one is better soon I have a poorly baby here so am worrying too its awful when they're poorly :(

Thanks for your reply - it makes you feel so helpless doesn't it. He is crying now and it's making me want to join in.
Hope your DC is ok too.

Poor boy :( dd had a tummy bug at about 16 weeks and I went to pieces because ds (4) had never had one!

All you can do is keep an eye out for signs of dehydration such as a dry mouth, no tears, skin that doesn't ping back, less wet nappies and also keep an eye on his temperature and how he is in general eg if constant high pitched screaming get him checked.

I'd offer small amounts frequently - if you're breastfeeding could you express some to syringe in if necessary? Just teeny amounts like 10ml? Also if you have a fast let down you might want to express some before he starts feeding so that it slows him down a bit. Hope you both manage some sleep.

If he seems dehydrated, has a fever over 38 or you're worried call ooh / NHS

Thank you. Yes that's useful - am Bf and he is taking short small feeds - wet nappies are ok - so I think it's just case of riding it out, hoping its and short lived and praying no one else gets it.
Have prepared for no sleep so anything more than that is a bonus.

I have found this schedule useful when breastfeeding my two when they had D&V.
