sore bottom and hurting when does a wee

My dd has been complaining of a sore bottom for the last few days, I was wondering about worms and was going to dose everyone. Last night however she was crying when on the toilet and is fine except when she does a wee, I don't think she is going properly as it hurts so much. So, out of hours is a long drive away, do I take her there in case it is a uti or just dose for worms? She has no temperature, is ok in herself, has had a few dribbly accidents - not full blown ones which is unusual and her bottom is very red and sore looking. Thank you

Well if it hurts when she sees it's undoubtedly a UTI.

I've had one myself the past couple of days and the pain continues even when you've finished weeing, I find. So "sore bottom" could be her way of saying the entire genital area is stinging. Or is could be something in addition to a UTI.

Either way she needs to be checked out ASAP. Can you get a urine sample from her?

Wees, not sees.

Yes I would go to ooh today. Accidents are sign of utis.

worms don't hurt, but itch and typically more in the evening.

when you mean bottom do you refer to her vagina or anus? (sorry)

worms don't go in the vagina, so if peeing is sore I'd suspect UTI or thrush.
if it's her bottom she might have piles/constipation.

Her vagina looks very sore but she was saying her bottom was white the other day, it was when we having a huge problem with dd1 so I looked later and it was fine then forgot about it. She is 3, I could get her to wee in a potty and take it as a sample. She hasn't been itching just saying it is sore. Reason I suspected worms is that dd1 had suspected worms last year that made her generally uncomfortable and sore but not itchy. Thank for your advice

poor lamb . I'd take her to be seen.
it is so annoying and waste of time of a Saturday but what csn you do?

also a bit of Calpol might reduce the pain.
I hope she gets better soonThanks

Thank you everyone, took her to OOH and she has got antibiotics for a UTI. At least she is asleep now :)

good decision. I hope she'll get better quickly.

may I suggest that when the course of antibiotics is finished you give her some plain probiotic yogurt to replace the good bacteria in the gut.
