My DS had his tonsils and adenoids removed last Wednesday he is recovering well and has stayed indoors since, my question is how long do they need to stay inside? Major cabin fever setting in!

I am sure they don't need to stay indoors, it's just that they should avoid public places, school etc to reduce the risk of picking up infection. That's the advice I received, and it applied for 2 weeks.

So the park, a walk in the woods etc would be fine.

my son had his tonsils and adenoids removed when he was just 3 (3 years ago ) and he was playing in the garden the next day.

We were told just to watch out for signs of deterioration, keep him on pain meds and generally take it easy.

He recovered well, and best thing we ever did btw

Hope you see the same results we have

No need to stay indoors. Not sure why someone would suggest that! They do need to be quiet for a few days so as not to start and bleeding at the site. But a wander outside us fine. Keep up pain relief, keep them eating and drinking..
