ds age 9 has warts on his hand, started as 1 now 3.

Do I have any chance of getting rid of them and can I ask you to please suggest what works?
Thanks

Freezing them works, I had loads on my fingers a couple years back caused by using steroid creams, I had them froze, had to go to the doctors once a week for 3 weeks for them to be blasted, it did hurt whilst they did it and a little bit sore after but it worked and they have never come back.

My dd got one on her hand when she was about 18 months. When she was 4, they suddenly increased and she must have had about 9 or 10 of them. I put neat tea tree oil on them every night before bed for about a week and a couple of weeks later they had all disappeared. It could be coincidence, but it's got to be worth a try before painful creams, freezing etc.

Oh thanks I have some I got for headline a few weeks ago but we went with head shaving instead (son not daughter) so will try that.

Curious as to where you got the idea from though

I agree with Horrorcow, my dd had a wart near the bed of her finger nail which got infected, our gp said that they don't recommend freezing them in children as it can be painful, I said to him could I use tea tree on it and he said give it a go, after putting it on her finger twice a day within a week the wart dried up and fell off, I also used it on my ds verruca and it work on that as well. It needs to be pure tea tree oil to work, I got mine from boots it's not cheap but it does the job. Good luck.

DS (12) has two on his hand, we are using Bazuka, as recommended by pharmacist. Does seem to be working but slow work!

I starved one by covering it with black nail varnish. I read about it on here. It worked for us but you have to be vigilant.

I got some stuff from Amazon called Salactol. My DD had two, one on each hand. The first one went after a few days of application, the second one (which was much bigger) has taken 5/6 weeks to go but you could see the root going black after only a couple of weeks. It looked really bad when it started to die and the skin was peeling but hopefully it won't come back. I was rubbing it with an emery board every night before putting the salactol on.
