I think for the tibial torsion you don't let them sleep on their front, bum in air and legs curled beneath them as this exasperates the problem, nor is sitting cross legged on the floor good (many schools and nurseries do this for story time etc) your child would be better on a chair.
They do grow out of it eventually (though my dd just fell over constantly and all her shoes were scruffy!) I still carry first aid kit and plasters everywhere!
I think my dd was about 8-9y old before we saw any real improvement.
No treatment as such though.
I noticed boots were better than shoes, properly fitted and with good support.

I found more helpful advice in the "sears and sears - the baby book" than from the nhs!

Yes. She's still "heavy footed" (sounds like she's stamping when on the stairs etc!), but doesn't fall over so much as she did.
It has improved with age. She is 11 now. She'll never be a ballerina but at least she's not wrecking her shoes so badly with scuffs or hurting herself every few yards now! Wink

Hi

Sorry to jump on this after such a long time. We are experiencing exactly the same with our 2 year old son, and again being told he will grow out of it. He is has it very serve.

Just wanting to know your outcome after all these years?

Thank you
