Nystatin and vomiting in babies

Myself and my 5 week old are currently being treated for thrush for the second time. LO was given Nystatin oral suspension the first time and we completed the dose but it didn't clear the thrush (she did vomit once during this time but it was hours after she finished the last dose so I didn't connect it with the medicine).

This time round I have been given Miconazole (Daktarin) gel to apply to my nipples after feeds and have also been given Fluconazole which I have been taking since Monday.

Monday evening I gave LO her second dose of Nystatin and she started pulling faces and then projectile vomited immediately after the dose had been given. I made sure to give it a little bit at a time so she could swallow it easily so she wasn't sick from choking. Since then I haven't given her any more and have instead been applying the Miconazole gel to the inside of her mouth as well as applying to my nipples before feed and using canesten on my nipples after feeds (as I read that the Miconazole gel isn't designed to penetrate the skin).
Although the leaflet states not to use Miconazole on babies under 4 months I have read that this is due to the risk of choking but I make sure to apply it carefully and in small amounts.

Has anyone else experienced this with the Nystatin? And is using the Miconazole instead of this enough to clear the thrush?
