Toxic poo in 19 month old, any suggestions?

My DS eats well, very healthy and happy generally, but every so often he gets what I can only describe as toxic poo. He poos and in seconds it makes the whole of his bottom bright red and sore so that he cries. It seems to be acidic and he eats a lot of fruit, so I've tried cutting down on any citrus fruit and acidic ones eg blueberries but I would like him to be able to eat whichever fruit he likes. Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be something else?

DD2 has an allergy to kiwi and citruses which does this, the only way is to avoid the food completely. Take all citruses out for a week or 2 and see if there is improvement. If not then try something else (tomatoes?)

He might have toddler diarrhea if he is eating too much fibres and fruits, they shouldn't have too much (one portion is one handful and they need more carbs than us).

My ds used to get very acidic, very vinegar smelling poo whenever he had a tooth coming through. He never really complained with teething- so it was a heads up for me! They get their last ones quite late if I recall.

Acid poos are usually always to do with teeth. It's all that extra saliva they are making. The only thing to do really is whip nappy off as soon as it's soiled and plenty nappy off time. It passes though.
