Stridor

Dd is 3 weeks old and dc3. On Monday I took her to be weighed and the health visitor said I needed to go to a breast feeding clinic as she wasn't putting on enough weight.
Breast feeding lady said that was rubbish but she thought dd had stridor. So went to the doctor who said both health visitor and breast feeding lady talking rubbish.
Her symptoms are making a high pitched wheeze is the best way I can describe it sound when she feeds and the bottom of her neck where it meets her chest really sucks in when she is feeding.
I have googled it and it does sound like she may have it. The doctor has referred us to a senior health visitor for observation during feeds.

So the point of this long winded post is to see if anyone has any experience of this and is there anything more I should be doing?
Tia

Hi,
I've recently had a premmie baby with stridor it's exactly how you explain it.. Although my baby doesn't stop and gets worse when feeding and moving in diffrent positions.

I was told its nothing to worry about that they will grow out of it in a couple months, max 2 years it will not affect anything that they will grow up normally.. Some baby's get worse before it gets better.. Don't be afraid to ask because they will not do this test unless you ask.. Trust me it's worth it..
Maybe get a feeding consult to help with the putting on weight and if you still aren't satisfied ask to get the appropriate testing for stridor and make sure it's exactly that and not something eles..
