Skinny DS9 is getting taller but skinnier

DS9 is a pale stick insect. He eats healthy food in good fair amounts, only eats chicken and thin burgers. That's it for meat. No chocolate or crisps of any kind ever! ( oh I have tried!)
How do I get some fat on his bones, he eats four meals a day and snacks throughout. He's really eating quite a good amount but why is he not putting any weight on?
Can I give him my flub, I have plenty to spare!

Is he unhealthy/sickly? Is the doctor concerned?

If not, I wouldn't worry. He'll eventually stop growing and extra weight will come then.

He is healthy. Rarely ill, no concerns from the doc. Just constant nagging from my mum that he's too skinny

I was too growing up and looking back at the photos I wish I still was. It was my natural size. However my parents pushed and pushed me to over eat into my teens and now I am not a healthy size. If he is healthy in all other ways just let him be.

I agree unless you've been told there is a health problem then don't worry.

Lots of people go on about kids being skinny when they are a healthy weight. mil has a tendency to do this and tbh I just said once (firmly) she's not skinny she's slim and she got the message.

If your kid is active and does all his chores well then you need not worry. When children start increasing in height rapidy they get thinner and thinner and only when they have attained a certain height they stop getting skinny and put on weight. You have got all the tests done, so you need not worry. He is growing up and would get healthy over time.

My son is like that - he's 21, 9.5 stone and nearly 6 ft tall. He will stop eating the second he's had enough - will literally leave half a biscuit on the plate. Not sure whether I brought the right child home from hospital, tbh! When he was five and 2 stone 2lbs, he ended up at the hospital for investigations (for another matter) and the doctor said how much better it was for a child to be thin than fatter. He said as long as he has energy, has a good colour and can concentrate, he's obviously fine.

My DS is 9 and similar to yours. He is 138cm and weighs 25kg (only know that as they were measured at school last week). He eats really well, but is really skinny - on holiday in half term, he was by the pool in his swim shorts (aged 24-36 months!) and looked like a child you see on an advert to feed the world....

Some children just are skinny.
If he is healthy and growing I really wouldn't worry.
Pushing him to eat more when there is nothing wrong with him could cause food issues down the line.
If he isn't undereating and is well I should just let him be.
