Mmr and testing for immunity

Is it possible to have a loos test tosee if you are immured as a result of having the Mmr injection? We've just been told my 13 year old has only had one dose and may need a second. I don't really to vaccinate him now, if he is immune.

you would maybe have to pay privately for it though. The nhs website says an extra MMR dose would not do any harm. One dose apparently gives over 95% protection against measles with the second dose taking that figure to almost 100% protection against measles.

Simple jab is far more pleasant experience than having blood drawn, ime. Seems like a no-brainer to me.
I had a measles jab in my 20s (had to for uni).

Sigh. Obviously it still carries the normal risks of MMR so this is not strictly true.

I think you'd have to go private for it too, which is shocking, but that's what I've heard.

Yes, it's possible but you will probably need to pay to get it done privately. Our local clinic charges £125 and checks immunity to MM and R.

Our local one quoted 50quid for immunity tests
