Really unsure what to do in this situation, advice appreciated, especially from medical people.

DD2 (24mths) has an ear infection which has perforated the eardrum. She seems very susceptible to this- it has happened a lot in the past. She has been prescribed amoxicillin, but it is incredibly difficult to get it into her. Full on screaming, tantrum, throwing herself around, fighting us. Bribing with chocolate doesn't work. The only way we can get any into her is basically force feeding. It's horrible to see and I'm very concerned about doing some damage-what if she inhales some?

So, should we persevere, or not? Is it harmful to feed it like this? Alternatively, what if she doesn't have the course of anti-bs?

Has she been prescribed liquid form? You need to squirt from a syringe into the side of her cheek.

The infection will get worse if she isn't treated properly.

Yes, it's liquid. We're trying with a syringe, but she clenches her teeth, fights and spits it back out.

Ok it sounds brutal but tip her over your lap, hold her nose and squirt ( into the side of her cheek NOT down her throat). Then big kisses and cuddles and chocolate.
