Teenager fainting

Last night my 15yo DS got up from watching tv. He's often messing around and he fell to the floor. This is pretty usual bonkers behaviour on his part so we ignored it, which i now feel bad about. He then got up a minute later having no recollection of how he got down there. I noticed when he was down there that his foot was twitching. I don't think he had had a fit, but wonder if he had fainted as he said since Christmas his head feels who shy when he stands up. I'm hypermobile and also have been diagnosed recently with vasogal syncope, which is a faint with a drop in blood pressure. I think I started about this age so wonder if it is a similar thing. He is also hypermobile.
I intend to take him to the docs this week, he's absolutely fine today, but for peace of mind want him to be checked. He's under stress with exams, but never on the outside seems to be too stressed, but I wonder if it is upsetting him.
When I try to talk to him about it I get the usual teenage boy response!
Anyone else out there had any experiences or thoughts on this?.

He could be anaemic, many teenagers are without knowing it as they are doing so much growing. It could simply be though that he got up too quickly, you are right to get him checked out but suspect it might just be one of those things. I was forever fainting as a teenager.

Yes me too. I've done abit of Dr Googling and wonder if it was a stretch faint. He has said it happens when he stretches.

Update on this post. Took my son to GP. He's ordered bloods and ECG. Spoke to the POTS/syncope nurse at the clinic where I attend, and she said because he's hypermobile and fainted and has lowish bp (90/60), she would be able to see him when he's 16 in July.
I had mentioned this to our GP, but he was very dismissive about the whole POTS/syncope issue, saying he saw lots of teenage boys who faint (really????) and that's that as far as he's concerned. Will see what outcome of bloods and ECG are.
Why do I feel this is going to be history repeating itself? Why won't some GPs LISTEN to the patients who THEY work for??

Lots of teenaged boys do faint, both mine have several times and I know of several others, mainly due to low blood pressure and standing up really quickly. None of them are hypermobile though so can't comment on that.
