Ds throwing up and no wee maybe also chicken pox

So ds is five months. His sister has chickenpox and has just got to the scabby non contagious stage yesterday and back to normal cheeky self today. I have had a cold with horrid fuzzy ears etc. Today he is ultra snotty. He is also teething. And more than likely about to get the pox. He has refused milk (both breast and bottle) much of the day and been quite grumpy. He's had two doses of nurofen. After the first e had a two hour sleep. After the second, five hours later, he was happy and smily for an hour. But he has only fed twice all day and thrown it all up spectacularly both times. He had a wet nappy this morning when I changed it when he woke but I don't think he's had a wet one since - hard to tell as maybe a small wee would soak right in. He was bright eyed during his post nurofen happy hour and doesn't look dehydrated though is a little pale. When should I worry if he keeps nothing down and doesn't wee? And could we get a home visit given he is likely to be contagious with chickenpox? I am working this evening but dh is under strict instructions to call me home if worried, to offer small amounts of milk regularly and to monitor wee.

If he's not weeing then he's dehydrating. Please call drs

At 5 months and with no wee I'd be calling for advice now. Hope he's OK (and I'd mention the CP too if he goes to the surgery or OOH)

Thanks. Home now. He's had 60ml formula without throwing up and a little wee so I am going to keep eye on him overnight.

Well please keep a very close eye as young babies can dehydrate very quickly.

Hope you all get well soon
