Joseph's ongoing journey with Neuroblastoma

I've lost count of the thread number now, but my 3 year old DS, Joseph, was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer called neuroblastoma last year.

Part-way through treatment he has relapsed (currently still clarifying that, but it's almost guaranteed) and at that point long-term survival is less than 5%.

He is beautiful and wonderful.

So bloody glad. Onwards and upwards.

piprabbit · 17/05/2013 18:09

Wow Grin Flowers Bear Wine Grin (the bear is for Joe, the wine is for you).

So very glad the consultant spoke to you today and didn't leave you stewing for another night/weekend.

TheHerringScreams · 17/05/2013 18:10

I hope your wait is open soon. Sad

TheHerringScreams · 17/05/2013 18:11

MirandaWest · 17/05/2013 18:11

Oh what amazing news :)

Saw there had been quite a lot more posts on this thread and was so hoping it would have been for this reason :) :)

StealthOfficialCrispTester · 17/05/2013 18:12

oh Herring it is :)

Trazzletoes · 17/05/2013 18:12

Fizzy er, yes!

Headless we knew it could happen but Joe's consultant was firmly of the opinion that it would not happen. Definitely not. He is stunned by the results. I think Joe's hospital has only known it happen once, maybe twice. It was a massively long shot.

So we knew it was technically a possibility but the actual results were very unexpected!

StealthOfficialCrispTester · 17/05/2013 18:13

Trazzle what are you all doing now? Have you told all your family? I assume so?
If you don't mind me asking, is this 'it'? Or are they still advising caution?
(I really don't know how these things work, but to me, the cancer is gone...)

Glaikit, not only can you, it's actually compulsory.
What a Friday night thread. I'm opening the wine as soon as the DC are in bed. Screw the diet.
