can someone else take dc to gp?

I've been wondering this for a while. I have dd who is one and I work part time, during which times we have a nanny.

occasionally dd needs to visit the doc for a relatively minor reason - lingering nappy rash, eczema etc and I currently wait until I'm free to take her. would the gp have an issue with her carer bringing her in?

I'm embarrassed to ask in case I'm judged for being neglectful and slovenly!

I think it would be fine. Maybe ring first to tell them she is bringing them with your permission.

As a nanny I always have. They don't usually vaccinate without you though. But you can have a letter typed up and note added to doctor ( which you should already have really) basically giving nanny permission to agree/ disagree with anything in an emergency.
