Just a bit concerned about ds. He's 11 months and has been very off today, mostly sitting having cuddles, being bf (right now, one hand typing!) and sleeping. I've just tken his temp and it's 39.7. I have an 8 yo dd who was suddenly sick on saturday night, again on sunday morning, and has had a temp and headache since. Is it likely the same thing? Ds hasn't been sick at all though did hae a bit of a nappy explosion this afternoon. Is it best to strip him down to cool him off?

Pacific, I hate living here. We're moving back in the summer and it can't come soon enough. I took the sample in at 11, hardly late, but now that's it, it's sat there all weekend so I just know they'll get me to do it again. I've just realised I started this thread on Monday, he's been so poorly all week :( His rash is still there but a quick google makes it sound like thjat's not unusual. The snow has been falling for a while now and I'm trying to weigh up just sitting it out here or getting my grandma to take us in- her driving's not wonderful at the best of times so I think I'd rather just stay inside. He's perked up a bit, he's actually sat playing with some toys which he hasn't done in days, he has wanted to be in physical contact with me all week.

Ah, crap.
You just cuddle your boy close - they are quite sweet when they are all pathetic and not feeling well. Mine are all bigger now, so I take my cuddles where I can Blush.

It's hard to imagine they will ever be well again when they are in the midst of it, itsn't it? I hope he gets there soon.

I bit the bullet and took him to be seen- apparently he doesn't have tonsillitis Confused. His rash is very bad, but a classic penicillin allergy apparently. No further action needed so I can stop obsessing about it. Have written NO PENICILLIN in big huge letters all over his red book. I guess with an allergy we had to find out ometime he had it, so perhaps it's best that he doesn't need the antibiotics anyway. Still puzzled by the whole thing as apparently on Thursday his whole throat was red with big pus spots. Have changed back into PJs and have no plans to do anything but eat bacon sandwiches for the foreseeable. I've had enough this week.
