My little boy is 5 months old and had vomiting and diarrhoea since Monday. Saw doc on Tuesday who said he had a virus so to keep him hydrated and bring him back if he didn't improve. On Thursday, he was really poorly, pale, listless, sunken fontanelle so we took him to a drop in centre as we couldn't get into our own dr. They prescribed dioralyte and paracetamol. By this Tim he'd stopped being sick but his diarrhoea was like cottage cheese. Couple of doses of dioralyte and he'd perked up no end (thank god) and his diarrhoea had returned t normal colour and has firmed up.
However now he won't have his bottle, save a few ounces, and he's not having wet nappies. They are a little damp but nowhere near what they're usually like. He seems better and he's much more himself but I'm concerned that there's something wrong, and I don't know what to do. I've carried on with the dioralyte to get fluid in him but I don't know if I'm dong the right thing????
Any advice would be a godsend
Tess xx
